The Roman army is made up of legate, legions, centuries and centurions.

The Roman army would train for most of the day. They would go through many forms of intense training, this includes:
- Marching up to 20-30 km carrying food, shield and camp equipment .
- Swimming across rivers or in boats.
- Building roads and buildings.
- Practice fighting with each other or with dummies using wooden weapons. (Visitors may watch as soldiers trained together)
